The magic of Butterflies, Lavender, and Lemons.

My go-to beverage for gatherings (we'll get back to those some day), special occasions, and tea thyme in the sun!

The Lavender Lemonade

Simple to make, and totally gives your taste buds a treat!

For Brewing:

2-3 lemons

Butterfly pea flowers

You can check out the shop, where I have it listed under Rainbow Tea. I blend it with lemongrass which is how it is traditionally served in Thailand.

For Syrup:

1 cup organic sugar (fine)

1 cup water

5 tablespoons organic lavender

Bring water and lavender to a boil.

Lower heat &

Add in sugar and stir until it is completely dissolved.

Let simmer 10-15 minutes.

Remove from heat and let steep for 1 hour.

Strain lavender, bottle, label, and get ready to do some magic.

You will get more Syrup than you need for one drink with this recipe, but it can be placed in the fridge and have had it last for a good couple months for me. Sometimes it will crystalize, but you can run it under warm water to unthaw.

To complete the potion!

Boil 8oz water and pour over 2 tbsp. herbs. let steep 5-7 minutes.

Strain into cup, let cool 2 minutes.

and then pour into cup filled with ice.

Take your lemon juice and add to taste or color. Less lemon the darker purple, the more, the brighter!

Add lavender syrup to taste!

Start small, as you can always add more.

There you have it folks! The Lavender Lemonade.
